Caramelized Peach Caprese on Toast

Fresh summer flavors for breakfast

 


Inspired by: How Sweet It Is

Caramelized Peach:
1 ripe peach
2 tsp brown sugar
dash balsamic
butter



  • Heat butter in a skillet until melted.
  • Slice peach into 1/4" slices and toss with brown sugar.
  • Add peaches to skillet and cook 2-3 minutes per side, or until they begin to caramelize. Add dash of balsamic to peaches as they cook.


Caprese Toast 
1 slice of bread
2 slices fresh mozzarella
Heirloom yellow tomato, 1 slice
3-4 basil leaves
Manchego, grated
Caramelized peach slices
Penzeys 4S Smoked Salt

Make the Caprese Toast:
  • Toast the bread lightly. Top with mozzarella and toast again, so that cheese melts and begins to bubble.
  • Grate Manchego on melted cheese. Top with layered tomato pieces, basil, and peach slices.
  • Sprinkle Smoked Salt on top.
