Toad in the Hole

Fried eggs and toast blended together




Ingredients:
1 slice of bread
1 egg
fresh spinach
salt and pepper, to taste



  1. Take slice of bread and, using a pint glass, cut out the center.
  2. Butter and heat skillet. Saute spinach and set aside. 
  3. Place bread with hole onto buttered cast iron skillet and begin to toast.
  4. Crack egg into hole of bread and place cover over pan. 
  5. Cook until egg is to your liking.
  6. Plate and top with sauteed spinach and seasonings. We also added ketchup and hot sauce.
